Cusco City
Arrival to Cusco, reception and transfer to the hotel. Time to acclimate to the altitude.
Lunch at MAP museum restaurant, after lunch we will visit the museum.
Walking tour: An easy-paced introduction to the area and a fun way to get acclimated to the altitude. The walk will last approx. 3 hours along ancient streets, visiting the most important places such as the Main Square and the Cathedral, which is built on top of the Inca palace of SunturWasi, and whose construction took almost a century. Next we will visit Koricancha (Temple of the Sun) entombed in the cloisters of the Santo Domingo Church and considered the most important temple of the Inca Culture. We will finish our first day visiting the traditional neighborhood of San Blas and its colonial church.
